About Us
Our Mission & Vision
At Falcon Youth Wrestling Club, our mission is to develop young athletes through the sport of wrestling, instilling discipline, resilience, and sportsmanship. As a nonprofit organization, we provide a positive and supportive environment where kids can grow both on and off the mat through expert coaching, structured training, and competitive opportunities. We believe in building not just strong wrestlers, but strong individuals, fostering a community of athletes, families, and mentors who uplift and support one another.
Our program is designed for athletes of all skill levels, from beginners taking their first step on the mat to advanced wrestlers preparing for the next level. We provide a structured and supportive environment where kids can develop their skills, improve their physical fitness, and gain confidence through hard work and perseverance.
Our vision is to create a thriving wrestling community where every child, regardless of background or experience, has the opportunity to learn, compete, and grow. Through dedicated coaching, a focus on character development, and a culture of grit and curiosity, Falcon Youth Wrestling Club aspires to shape the next generation of athletes and leaders—on the mat, in the classroom, and in life.

Competition & Growth Opportunities
Falcon Youth Wrestling Club encourages participation in local tournaments and friendly matches with neighboring clubs. Competition is optional but highly encouraged, as it helps wrestlers build confidence, test their skills, and develop a competitive mindset. Many of our program graduates go on to wrestle successfully in high school and beyond, with most competing for Cactus Shadows High School, which recently won the 2024-2025 sectional title.
Building Champions On and Off the Mat
We separate our athletes into age-appropriate and skill-based training groups to ensure personalized instruction and progression. For beginners, we emphasize fundamental techniques, movement, and body control, giving them a solid foundation to grow. As they advance, we introduce more complex strategies and refine their skills through focused drilling, live wrestling, and situational training.
While our main focus is folkstyle wrestling, our older athletes will also have the opportunity to train in freestyle wrestling after the main season. Regardless of style, our goal is to teach proper technique, instill mental toughness, and encourage sportsmanship in every wrestler.
A Fun and Engaging Training Environment
We believe kids learn best when they’re engaged and having fun. Each practice is designed to be both challenging and enjoyable, featuring:
Dynamic warm-ups to prepare the body and reduce injury risk
Hands-on technique instruction with drills to reinforce learning
Live situational wrestling to apply skills in a controlled setting
Games and activities that keep training exciting and interactive
Education on hygiene, nutrition, and recovery to build lifelong healthy habits
